Hyundai sold 40,082 units of the Accent, called the Verna in the Chinese market, in the first two months of this year, the data said. The figure represents an increase of 24 percent from the same period of last year.
Shanghai GM's subcompact Sail ranked second with sales reaching 39,161 units.
