Under the deal signed with state-run Tenaga Nasional Thehad (TNB), Daelim will build the power plant in Manjung 288 kilometers northwest of Kuala Lumpur.
Completion is scheduled for October 2017, the construction company said.
Electricity supplied by TNB accounts for 55 percent of the total electricity generated in the Southeast Asian country, according to Daelim.
