The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries said Thursday that it plans to obtain 30 billion won from the state coffer for each harbor. Marina harbor refers to a comprehensive marine resort community.
In February, the ministry chose Deokjeok-do Island, Kogunsan Archipelago, the venue of Yeosu Expo, Myeongdong in Changwon, Hupo in Uljin and Jinha in Ulsan as venues of the new marina harbors.
The ministry set aside 2.3 billion won to conduct the basic design survey. Construction will begin in 2015 and completion is scheduled for 2017, ministry officials said.
