Samsung unveils world's first curved UHD TV

South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics has unveiled an ultra high definition (UHD) television with a curved display, the first of its kind in the world.

Samsung introduced a 65-inch curved UHD TV at its booth of the IFA 2013, the largest consumer electronics tradeshow in Europe, Wednesday, one day before the opening of the tradeshow in Berlin.

"We introduced the world's first curved UHD TV at the IFA 2013 to meet various consumer expectations waiting for next-generation TV technology. This will be a milestone opening a new era of next-generation TV, by invigorating the UHD TV market," said Kim Hyun-suk, chief and executive vice president of visual display business at Samsung Electronics.
