​Song Kang-ho tops Gallup Korea’s 2013 actors list

Actor Song Kang-ho took the top spot with 22.5 percent of support in a Gallup Korea survey asking who was your most favorite actor in 2013.

Song stars in box-office hits "Snowpiercer" and "The Face Reader," which attracted more than 9 million viewers each.

It is the first time since 2008 that Song has recaptured the crown in the annual Gallup Korean poll.

Actors swept the top five, according to the poll of 1,702 people aged 13 or older, which was conducted from Nov. 1 through Nov. 18.

Ha Jung-woo came in second with 18.9 percent of support for his roles in "The Berlin File" and "The Terror, LIVE."

Lee Byung-hun, who stars in Hollywood films such as "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" and "Red 2," placed third with 18 percent of support, followed by Ryu Seung-ryong starring in "Miracle in Cell No. 7" with 10.1 percent and Seol Kyung-gu starring in "The Tower," "Cold Eyes," and "The Spy: Undercover Operation" with 7.4 percent.

Small-budget movie "Miracle in Cell No. 7," directed by Lee Hwan-kyung, attracted the largest number of moviegoers (12.81 million) this year.

The film depicts a retarded, childish man who raises a young daughter in cell No. 7 with the help of other inmates.
