13 militants killed in clash with police in Pakistan's Karachi

At least 13 militants were killed in a clash with police in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Monday night, police said.

Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Rao Anwar said that the police raided a hideout of suspected militants in Sohrab Goth area of Karachi, the capital city of the country's south Sindh province.

He said that a meeting of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was going on in the compound when police attacked it on an intelligence tip-off.

Revealing the identities of the terrorists, the SSP said that nine among the dead belonged to TTP while four were linked with al- Qaida.
