Hite ranked second with 29 percent of support, followed by OB (10 percent), Cafri (2 percent), Max and Dry d (1.4 percent each) and Cloud (1.3 percent), according to the poll of 1,700 people aged 13 or older conducted by Gallup Korea in October last year.
The comparable figure stood at 1 percent for Asahi and Hoegaarden; 0.8 percent for Budweiser and 0.7 percent for Heineken.
When it comes to foreign luxury brands, 17 percent of the pollees picked Chanel; 16 percent Gucci; 13 percent Louis Vuitton; 7 percent Prada; 4 percent Daks and Burberry each; 1.6 percent Ferragamo; and 1.1 percent MCM, the survey said.
Regarding coffee shop franchises, one-fourth of the interviewees selected Starbucks; 11 percent Caffe Bene; 10 percent Angel-in-us; 7 percent Coffee Bean and Ediya each; 4 percent Two Someplace; and 3 percent Hollys.
