South Korea has warmest May since 1973

South Korea just had its warmest May since 1973 when the the country's meteorological authority began compiling related data. In its monthly report published Monday, the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said the May temperature averaged 18.6 degrees Celsius, 0.2 C above the next warmest May of 2014. The comparable figure stood at 17.8 C in 2013 and 18.3 C in 2012. The May temperature has averaged 17.2 C for the past four decades, according to the KMA.
