English actor Jason Statham, known for his role in "The Expendables", a 2010–2014 action series, has been picked as the face of an advertising campaign for LG's flagship smartphone G5.
LG Electronics said its new G5 commercial showing Statham will be released in South Korea, the United States, England and other countries, starting this week.
Statham, 48, has appeared in "The Transporter trilogy (2002–08), "The Italian Job" (2003), "Death Race" (2008), "The Bank Job" (2008), and "The Expendables" (2010–2014). In 2015, he played a comedic role in the Melissa McCarthy film, Spy.
