SEOUL -- NCT 127, a 10-member boy band, became the second-highest ranking K-pop boy band n Billboard 200 with "Regular-Irregular", the group's first full album released in early October.
Billboard said in a news article uploaded onto its website Tuesday that the dance-pop band debuted at No. 86 in Billboard 200, a weekly chart ranking the 200 most popular albums in the United States. BTS was the highest and EXo was the third-highest with "The War" in 2017.
The American magazine speculated that the success of NCT 127's new album came from group promotional activities in the United States this month, including the performance of "Regular", the new album's title song, in Jimmy Kimmel's Live!, a popular TV show, and appearances on the American Music Awards.
