KaKaotalk is a Korean developed mobile messaging smart phone app that has taken Korea by storm. As of 19th of this month, KaKaoTalk is expected to grow to over 42 million subscribers, serving over 1 billion messages per day.
The app is available free to iOS and Android since March 2010 and the beta version for BlackBerry was released in August 2011.
It allows users to send and receive texts, photos, videos, and voice messages, URL links, and contact information as well as group chat. It also synchronizes with the user’s contact list so that the user does not have to manually invite friends to use the service.
