The streamline visa process agreement was signed after talks between South Korean Foreign Minister Kim Sung-hwan and his Mongolian Foreign Minister Gombojav Zandanshatar, who arrived in Seoul earlier in the day for a three-day visit.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesman, Cho Byung-jae said, “The agreement will grant the nationals of the two countries multiple-entry visas valid for a maximum of five years if they meet the required conditions, and exempt them from visa fees.”
Under the new agreement, South Koreans who are long-term residents of Mongolia will no longer have to obtain an exit visa for a temporary trip out of the country, Cho added.
