Mercedes‘s flagship model, the E200 CGI Blue Efficiency, will be priced at W57.7 million, down W800,000, while the C200 CGI Blue Efficiency will cost W46.2 million, making it W600,000 cheaper (US$1=W1,179).
When the FTA first took effect last July, the German automaker lowered the prices of all of its models produced in Europe. The tariffs on European cars are being lifted gradually, falling from 8 percent before the trade pact to 5.6 percent in 2011, 3.2 percent in 2012, and 1.6 percent in 2013. The deadline for all tariffs to be fully lifted is 2014.
