Mariah Carey is mostly likely to be a Judge in ‘American Idol’

It was reported that Mariah is finalizing her deal to be an ‘American Idol’ judge. According to Deadline, if this contract gets finalized, she is going to earn more than $17 million for one season. This deal will break Britney Spears’ previous $15 million record for ‘X Factor’.

 

Her husband, Nick Cannon, allegedly told TMZ on Sunday “I don’t know I they can afford Mariah Carey. That’s a lot of money.” It seems like the show came up with money to pay her. Tying Mariah to the show will definitely capture audiences’ attention, so seemingly this investment is worth it.
