Rain's hand-written letter
As K-pop singer and actor, Rain’s, first movie, ‘R2B: Return to Base’, as the main character is about to release in Korea, Rain sent hand-written letter to the director and co-stars of the movie. According R2B production studio, Rain- depicting the main character Tae-hoon Jeong, accident-prone genius jet pilot- sent his apologies through his letter that he could not participate in publicity and the premiere.

The 2-page-long letter contained Rain’s longing to partake in the film launching process.
“I feel like it was only yesterday that I filmed the movie in Air Force Academy and Air Base through hardship a year and half ago- I can’t believe the movie is going to be released already,” wrote Rain. “All my co-stars, directors, and all the other movies crews’ sweat and hard work made R2B. I truly hope that everybody can enjoy this movie with your family.”

He added, “I wanted to share the thoughts on movie with my fellow actors and actresses, but as you know I am serving mandatory military service in the army so I cannot be there.”

Rain wrote messages to every single one of the movie crews. To director Dong-won Kim, he wrote, “I will pay out of my pocket to watch the movie after premiere” with humor and to fellow costar Joon-sang Yoo, Rain scribbled wittily, “You are the mainstream on media I heard! Buy me a dinner with the money you’ve been hoarding” that showed how close he is with Joon-sang.
