CJ E&M said it has decided to co-produce the remake of "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance," a Korean film directed by Park Chan-wook, with three Hollywood studios - Silver Reel, Lotus Entertainment and Di Bonaventura Pictures - for American moviegoers.

The 2002 film is a crime thriller.

Other thrills directed by Park will get remade in Hollywood. They are "Old Boy (2003)" and "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (2005)."

The Hollywood version of "Old Boy," directed by Spike Lee, will be released in North America in October, according to CJ E&M. It stars Samual Jackson, Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Olsen.
