Crisis in Iraq: at least 12 killed in bomb blast

There was a series of bomb blasts in a famous market place situated in Baghdad, the capital of in Iraq.

Report says that two bombs and a suicide bomber was blasted which created panic among civilians in a Shia town of Judaida al-Shat which is located in the province of Diyala.

More than 12 people were killed and dozens of people were wounded in this series of bombings.

It has been happening in Iraq since many years. It is because of tension and cold war between Shia and Sunni, the two different communities of Muslim.

Shia is majority Muslim community which is also leading the government in Iraq, whereas Sunni is minority Muslim community. There were many disputes and tension among these two communities which has been growing since last year.

Prime Minister Nouri-al-Maliki, who himself belongs to Shia Muslim community, has been accused by Sunnis for discriminating against them and the government denied this claim. But, still Sunnis in Iraq are fighting for their rights and respect.

This blast is latest among all the blasts which are occurring almost daily and creating fears in the mind of people about the sectarian violence in years.

The United Nations reported that around 1,045 civilians in Iraq were killed in a bomb blast last month and it was considered as one of the bloodiest in Iraq since June 2008.

There were many attacks and bombings reported by officials, one was in the vegetable market of a town near the capital city. There were simultaneous car bombs blasting in this area.

One more blast occurred three weeks ago in Baquba near a Sunni mosque where 41 people were killed due to twin car bombing.

Till now, none of the groups admitted to be responsible for the Monday’s attack but it was found that the Sunni Muslim community previously did explosion to target Shia Muslims by linking themselves to al–Qaida.
