Kospi rises 0.68% on US economic data

Kospi rose 0.68 percent to 1,996.89 on Monday, as the U.S. economy has shown signs of recovery.

The world's largest economy expanded at an annualized pace of 4.1 percent in the third quarter, the highest level since April 2011.

Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor were higher 0.4 percent and 1.8 percent, respectively.

Kosdaq also went up 0.25 percent to 489.63.
