South Korean budget carrier Jeju Air said Wednesday it plans to offer irregular flight services to three more Chinese cities beginning in May.

The carrier said it will provide irregular flight services between Cheongju, a city in central South Korea, and Yenji in northeast China’s Jilin province; between Cheongju and Ningbo in east China’s Zhejiang province; and between Incheon and Shijianzhung, the capital and largest city of north China's Hebei province.

It said it will continue to operate irregular flights to seven Chinese destinations in May. They are from Incheon to Qiqihar, Wenzhou and Quanzhou; from Jeju Island to Guangzhou, Xian and Chengdu; and from Busan to Zhengzhou.

The number of passengers on South Korea-China routes reached 2.82 million in the first three months of this year, up 19 percent from 2.36 million tallied in the same period last year, according to government statistics.
