‘My Love from the Star’ attracts over 2.5 billion hits on Chinese video site

South Korea’s popular drama “My Love from the Star” attracted more than 2.5 billion hits on IQIYI, a Chinese video site as of Tuesday, according to the Seoul-based management agency KeyEast.

In the 21-episode soap opera starring Jun Ji-hyun and Kim Soo-hyun, an alien, who landed on Earth 400 years ago during Korea’s Joseon Kingdom (1392-1910), falls in love with a top actress.

IQIYI presented a plaque of appreciation to Kim during his fan meeting event in Beijing on May 8 as the drama surpassed the 2 billion viewers mark on the site.
