Figure skater Kim Hae-jin places 9th at Skate Canada International

South Korean figure skater Kim Hae-jin, making her senior Grand Prix debut, placed ninth in the ladies singles event at Skate Canada International in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, Sunday (local time) with a total score of 143.43.

The 17-year-old earned 52.18 points in the short program and 91.25 points in the free skate.

Anna Pogorilaya of Russia won the gold medal with a total score of 191.81 points, and Ashley Wagner of the United States captured the silver with 186.00 points.
The bronze medal went to Satoko Miyahara of Japan who garnered 181.75 points.
