Tsingtao had a market share of 43.8 percent at Lotte Mart during the second half of this year, edging out longtime bestseller Budweiser (28.6 percent) and Miller (21.5 percent), the retailer said.
In the first six months of 2013, the Chinese beer was ranked third with a 22.9 percent share, compared with 49.3 percent for Budweiser and 27.8 percent for Miller.
Tsingtao moved up one notch to second place with a 35.4 percent share, one percentage point less than Budweiser, in the January-June period of this year.
