Sales of the Starex rose 4.4 percent to 12,607 units in the first half from the same period of last year, the carmaker said Friday. In March, the mini van sold 4,771 units, becoming the 12th best-selling model in the country.
The number of South Korean campers has skyrocketed in recent years. The nation's camping population is estimated at 4.7 million, a 3.5-fold increase over the past two years, according to the Nonghyun Economic Research Institute.
