Koreans' forced labor in Japan during WWII

Citizens look at exhibits during an exhibition of photographs depicting the suffering of Koreans, who forced to labor at coal mines and other Japanese sites during World War II, on Wednesday at Seoul Plaza in central Seoul. South Korea has claimed that about 59,000 Koreans were mobilized for forced labor at Japanese sites, such as coal mines, shipyards and steelworks, during the Japanese occupation of Korea (1910-1945).
