Ex-Japanese PM kneels before monument for Korean independence fighters during colonial period

Former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama kneels before a monument in memory of Korean independence fighters tortured to death during Japan's colonial rule of the Korean Peninsula (1910-1945) during his visit to the Seodaemun Prison History Hall in Seoul, capital of South Korea, Aug. 12. Aug. 15 marks the 70th anniversary of Korea's independence from Japan's rule.
