“The Rock” Dwayne Johnson made an appearance in the WWE Monday Night on January 25. The semi-retired pro-wrestling legend is also a blockbuster movie star.
A many times championship winner, The Rock literally rocked the crowd with his return. He first appeared on the big screen set in the stadium and soon appeared at the ringside with greetings from his former wrestling colleagues.
The Rock made into the ring, and performed the "Rock Bottom", his signature move on the wrestler Big E. The pro-wrestling legend even popped the "People's Elbow" on another wrestler, Xavier. After the performances, The Rock said 'Thank you Miami, we will see you at Wrestlemania if you smell what The Rock is cooking!'
Johnson, being one of the most popular pro-wrestlers of all time, stayed away from the ring after crippling injury on his pelvis. He did not clarify on his retirement, but the wrestling star never returned to play the sport.
Away from the ring, The Rock made his career as an actor. Using his name, Dwain Johnson, he appeared in various films such as The Mummy, Fast and the Furious series and G.I Joe: Retaliation.
