Telecom giant KT live-broadcasts the virtual reality footage of baseball matches for the first time in South Korea this week, providing an opportunity to bring the latest modern technology to real life in a tech-savvy country.
The country's largest telecom company will bring its live virtual reality (VR) action to baseball fans starting with all-star professional matches. Post-game events, "Perfect Pitcher" and "Homerun Race", were to be broadcast on Friday, and a pre-game event called "Bunt King" on Saturday. At the same time, a live feed of bullpen for the "Dream All-Star" team will be provided.
Any users of South Korea's three major mobile carriers -- KT, LGT, and SKT -- can experience live VR footages by using the "OllehTV" mobile app or an official app for "KT Wiz".
