South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun has applied to become a professional bowler, the Korea Professional Bowling Association said Thursday. He will compete in two-day professional trials from October 22.
The 28-year-old who gained fame from his role in South Korea's hit drama "My Love from the Star" is a well-known bowling lover. "I play bowling whenever I have free time. I usually use 14 or 15 pounds," he said during a fan meeting in 2014.
His best score of 250 is high as an amateur bowler but there are doubts about Kim's skills to become a professional bowler. The association plans to pick ten finalists after two rounds of competition.
"It's possible to pass the trial if a bowler scores 250 or more" at the upcoming contest, an association official told Aju News. "It mainly depends on the condition of lanes."
