SEOUL -- V, a member of BTS, will become the boy band's seventh member to roll out his first solo album after J-Hope, Jin, RM, Suga, and Jungkook. The 27-year-old will work with Min Hee-jin, a genius idol incubator who has planned concepts for K-pop superstar band NewJeans.

Min is currently nurturing rookie artists and overseeing music production at ADOR, a subsidiary label of Big Hit, the agency of BTS. During her time at SM Entertainment, she designed costumes, styling, and album covers. The idol incubator directed Girls' Generation members to wear jeans and white T-shirts in the music video of Gee, a hit song released in 2009. After becoming the head of ADOR, Min was recognized for her concept planning capabilities for K-pop super rookie band NewJeans.

Big Hit said on August 2 that Min will be in charge of the production of V's solo album, including choreography, design, and promotion. Although Min hesitated when she received the agency's offer in late 2022, the producer said she has become interested in the BTS artist's attitude and voice. Big Hit has not yet disclosed its release date.

V has showcased singing skills through his solo songs such as Stigma and Inner Child. He has also released self-composed songs including Blue & Grey and Winter Bear. The artist participated in an original soundtrack for Itaewon Class, a popular South Korean cable TV drama. In July 2023, he was appointed as the ambassador for Cartier, a France-based high-end luxury goods brand known for premium jewelry.
