LAS VEGAS -- South Korea's Doosan Group and its subsidiaries specializing in robotics, heavy equipment, and renewable energy, showcased their latest technologies focused on robot-human cooperation and carbon-zero machinery at the Consumer Electronics Show, the world's biggest annual electronics exhibition held in Las Vegas.

The South Korean machinery giant held a pre-event press conference at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) on January 8 (local time), a day before the main exhibition, to showcase new products and services. The main exhibition starts on January 9 and ends on January 12.

Doosan Bobcat, the construction, ground maintenance, and material handling equipment specialist wing of Doosan revealed "AT450X," an artificial intelligence-powered unmanned electric tractor jointly developed by Agtonomy, a Silicon Valley-based agricultural technology company. The equipment maker also introduced "S7X," a fully-electric skid loader, "RogueX2" a concept unmanned loader, and an autonomous lawnmower.

Doosan Enerbility, the power generation industry specialist, unveiled a blueprint for developing the world's first 400-megawatt-class super-large hydrogen combustion turbine. HyAxiom, Doosan's American subsidiary, revealed a proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis system with the world's top-class energy efficiency.

The robotics unit of Doosan introduced an advanced autonomous robot solution. Doosan Robotics' cooperative robot capable of mimicking humans' delicate body movements was upgraded to have the ability to study work know-how, predict outcomes, and decide the most efficient way when carrying out chores. The robotics company showcased "Oscar the Sorter," a recyclable material sorting solution that can learn the characteristics of different recyclable materials by picking up and studying garbage such as paper cups, plastic bottles, and aluminum cans.
