SEOUL, May 10 (AJU PRESS) - Wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike in Korea will be enchanted by more than 60 carefully chosen Australian wines at a tasting event to be held in southern Seoul this Saturday.

The event hosted by Wine Australia in cooperation with the Australian Embassy in Seoul will showcase an array of wines including whites, reds, sparklings, and other sweet varieties at an outdoor venue of Sofitel Ambassador Seoul. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in exquisite wines along with an assortment of delightful finger foods including savory barbecues, artisan cheeses and other snacks.

Australia's rich viticultural landscape and diverse climate conditions allows the country to produce over 150 grape varieties, many of which are among the world's finest. According to Wine Australia, a state-run organization dedicated to promoting Australian wines, there has been a recent surge in sale of Australian wines thanks to their high-quality tastes and reasonable prices.

At the event, visitors will be invited to engage in various activities including wine testing, a quiz raffle and even an essay contest.

"When it comes to wine, many people often think of several major brands, but there are actually various high-quality Australian wines available in Korea," said Suzie Chung, the country manager of Wine Australia's Korean office. "Not only red wines, we are thrilled to present premium white wines through this event, which pair well with Korean cuisine."
