SEOUL, September 10 (AJP) - Chinese President Xi Jinping held separate meetings on Monday with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in Beijing at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
Analysts suggest these high-level interactions highlight joint efforts between China and European nations to tackle challenges and maintain stable relations despite differences. They also demonstrate a strong commitment to cooperation and mutual benefits in a changing global landscape.
In his meeting with Støre, Xi expressed China's willingness to work with Norway to enhance friendly cooperation. He emphasized that strengthening China-Norway relations aligns with the interests of both countries and their peoples, as well as the global trend of closer international ties.
Xi noted that the world is experiencing unprecedented changes, testing the international community's ability to make appropriate choices. During his meeting with Sanchez, Xi highlighted the 50th anniversary of China-Spain diplomatic relations last year, noting the continued close exchanges and high-quality cooperation in new areas between the two countries.
The Chinese president also discussed current global issues with both leaders. With Støre, he exchanged views on topics such as the Ukraine crisis. Similarly, in his conversation with Sanchez, Xi addressed the Ukraine crisis and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
