Hanmi Global ties up with SK C&C to develop business platform for digital transformation

SEOUL -- Hanmi Global, an engineering and project management company in South Korea, will work with SK C&C, the information technology wing of SK Group, to develop a new business platform that connects the demand and supply of technologies such as digital twin, artificial intelligence and business intelligence in the construction industry.

A digital twin is a virtual clone of an object or an infrastructure. Researchers use digital twins as testing grounds for new technologies or other elements to see what kinds of results they might bring without causing an irreversible effect in real life. Business intelligence leverages software and services to transform data into actionable insights and offers a way to examine data to understand trends and derive insights.

Hanmi Global aims to lead digital innovation in construction business management. In the construction industry, the company's platform will connect those who need to introduce digital technology with companies with related technology. By combining industry know-how with new digital transformation platforms and solutions, the two companies will make data on design and construction.

"Through this business agreement, Hanmi Global will take the lead in accelerating digital transformation in the construction industry."

Based on technologies such as AI, cloud and big data, SK C&C will provide specialized vertical solutions. The company will provide an intelligent automation service for 3D-based engineering and construction such as the automatic standardization of construction costs while focusing on differentiated services by utilizing business intelligence.
