Korea's consumer sentiment index (CSI) reached 104 in March, the highest since May last year, the Bank of Korea reported Wednesday.

The figure represents a rise of two points from the previous month. A CSI reading above 100 indicates that consumers who expect economic and living conditions to improve in the coming month outnumber those who expect deterioration.

Analysts attributed the rise in the CSI to the Park Geun-hye administration's economic stimulus measures and signs of the global economic recovery.
