Thursday, White House stated that Syria clearly crossed a “red line” with its use of chemical weapons and US will shift its favor to Syrian rebels.
Last week U.S. intelligence agencies announced that about 100 to 150 Syrians were killed by Syrian army’s chemical weapons.
Friday, NATO Secretary General Anger Fogh Rasmussen voiced that Syrian government breached international law. NATO is now urging Syria to allow UN to investigate the chemical weapons reports and siding with U.S. on its decision to support Syrian rebels at this point.
However, the majority of Russia is not buying U.S.’s claim and is believing that Obama administration fabricated the reports as Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction claim was fabricated by U.S. government.
Some of International Relations Analysts are supporting Russian on this case because they thought that U.S. is trying to settle Syrian matters sooner to stabilize U.S. oil market.
