Over 150 Syrian soldiers killed by rebels

Syrian army spokesman said on Thursday that over 150 Syrian soldiers were killed on Sunday by rebels. After investigating through the wreckage, Syrian troop found that the rebels tunneled under the military base and filled it with explosives.

The attacked military base was just outside of Damascus and there were about 500 soldiers inside of the base. Syrian army lost many its senior officers from the attack.

Liwa Dera al-Asima, an Islamist rebel group, said their militants worked hard digging the tunnel for 6 months to destroy the base.

Again on Thursday, the rebels attacked Syrian government troops and successfully destroyed two tanks.
