Colombia's James Rodriguez leads race for top goal-getter in 2014 World Cup

Colombia's James Rodriguez was leading the race for top goal-getter in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, according to an interim tally released on Tuesday (local time).

Rodriguez recorded five goals and two assists.

Thomas Muller of Germany ranked second with four goals and two assists, followed by Lionel Messi of Argentia with four goals and an assist and Neymar da Silva of host Brazil with four goals.

Karim Benzema of France and Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben, both of the Netherlands, scored three goals each.
