Based on the Korean format, the ABC drama “explores why a superhero has to save the world and asks why he can’t save just one girl,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The South Korean television series garnered a huge number of viewers in China as well as Korea.
The fantasy romance is about an alien, who landed on Earth 400 years ago, falls in love with a top actress. The drama starring actor Kim Soo-hyun and actress Jun Ji-hyun aired on local broadcaster SBS from December 2013 and February 2014.
The drama won the Best Hallyu (Korean Wave) Drama Award at the ninth Seoul International Drama Awards on Sept. 4.
