
South Korea ties for second place in the passport index recently published by Arton Capital. The South Korean citizens are on a par with those from France and Germany for a visa-free access to 145 countries around the world, according to the index based on data from the International Air Transportation Agency (IATA).
The United States and Britain are tied for the top spot - both Americans and Britons are able to visit 147 nations with just a passport.
Japanese passport holders are able to travel to 143 countries visa-free, while Chinese and North Koreans only 74 and 44, respectively.
