Lady GaGa’s David Bowie tribute gets standing ovation at Grammy

Lady GaGa performed a six and a half minute long medley of David Bowie’s song as a tribute to the legendary singer at the 58th Grammy Awards on Thursday. The magical performance led to a standing ovation from the audiences.

GaGa’s stage was filled with Bowie’s songs and overwhelmed the crowd. With the latest tech, the female singer infamous for her unique characteristics turned into Ziggy Stardust, an alias of Bowie. GaGa started the tribute with “Space Oddity”, launched into “Changes”, and more songs such as “Let’s Dance” and “Heroes” followed. The medley of songs which are Bowie’s most famous filled the stage.

David Bowie died last month after 18 months long battle against cancer. Already the world is missing the late singer. Fans and artists filled social network with tributes. Almost 5,500 clips which made tributes to Bowie have been uploaded in 24 hours after the singer’s death.

The artist was an outstanding influential figure in the world’s music scene. Bowie was a singer-songwriter who made history in various rock genres including glam rock and art rock. He also excelled in soul, dance pop, punk and electronica during his career of 40 years.
