SEOUL, Jan. 25 (Aju News) -- Kia Motors unveiled an upgraded version of its midsize sedan "The New K5" on Thursday. The new K5 sedan offers convenient driver assistant features including a driving assistant system and AI-based voice recognition.
The new model, unveiled at a media event in Seoul, is South Korea's first midsize sedan to house an AI-based voice recognition system. K5 has been upgraded to feature a highway driving assistant that provides the basic level of self-driving with an integrated feature of smart cruise control and lane keeping.
The New K5 comes in four engine variants: 2.0-liter gasoline engine, 1.6-liter turbo gasoline engine, 1.7-liter diesel engine and 2.0-liter liquid propane injection engine. The 2.0-liter gasoline engine's lowest trim carries a price tag of about 2.3 million won (2,162 US dollars) and the highest 2.9 million won. The LPI model targets the rent-a-car market.
