The Foreign Language Newspapers Association of Korea celebrated the ninth anniversary of its founding with a ceremony at the Korea Press Center in central Seoul.
The association consists of three English newspapers – The Korea JoongAng Daily, The Korea Times, and The Korea Herald – and The Aju Daily, South Korea’s sole Chinese-language newspaper.
Cui, a Chinese national, received a certificate of excellence for her contributions to the improvement of the relationship between South Korea and China through a series of events and publications at the newspaper published by Aju News Corp., which also includes The Aju Press.
Other recipients included Kim Jee-hee, digital team leader at The Korea JoongAng Daily; Paul Kerry, chief copy editor at The Korea Herald; and Kim Bo-eun, Park Ji-won, Mun Chan-ung, Lee Jong-eun and Shim Hyun-chul from The Korea Times.
The association was established in July 2015 to promote cooperation among foreign-language newspapers.
