BC Card is accelerating its financial service innovations based on artificial intelligence (AI).

On June 21, BC Card announced that it was invited to the 'Red Hat Summit 2026,' the world's largest open-source technology conference, where it presented operational case studies as the first domestic financial institution to do so.

Agentic AI, which enables self-judgment and action, was highlighted during the event. BC Card showcased several operational services, including the restaurant recommendation service 'Eat.pl,' the finance-focused generative AI platform 'BC GPT,' and the AI work automation solution 'MOAI.'

The company is also achieving results in the field of innovative financial services based on generative AI. Last year, BC Card received designations for seven innovative financial services from the Financial Services Commission. These include digitizing card guidance images and enhancing merchant information through AI, which will be commercialized under regulatory exemptions over the next two years.

AI technology is expanding into customer service as well. The 'AI Hot Deal' service automatically selects and summarizes discount information from online communities to provide users with discount rates. 'Eat.pl' is collaborating with LG Uplus, following partnerships with Lutton and Reiner.

BC Card is also contributing to the AI ecosystem. The company is making its self-developed AI models and Korea-specific financial datasets available on the global LLM platform 'Hugging Face.' Currently, it offers 38 LLMs and five Korean financial datasets for free, positioning itself as the only contributor from the domestic financial sector to the global LLM community. The released models are averaging about 150,000 downloads per month.

Oh Seong-su, Executive Director of BC Card, stated, "We are evolving from a card company to a comprehensive data intelligence firm based on AI and data, and we will continue to strive to enhance our competitiveness in financial AI both domestically and internationally."
