Woori Bank is set to provide financial support to mid-sized companies with high growth potential.

On September 9, Woori Bank announced the final selection of 45 companies for the eighth class of its mid-sized enterprise financial support program, 'Rising Leaders 300,' in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

'Rising Leaders 300' is a public-private partnership program aimed at identifying mid-sized companies with excellent technology and growth potential, nurturing them as key players in the next generation of industries. This initiative has been jointly promoted by Woori Bank and the Ministry since 2023.

This eighth class was announced a month earlier than last year to identify promising companies sooner. In response to changing industrial trends, the program has shifted its focus from digital transformation (DX) to artificial intelligence transformation (AX).

Woori Bank will offer loans of up to 30 billion won per selected company, along with a maximum interest rate discount of 1.0 percentage points for the first year. The bank will also provide non-financial services, including export-import financial support, consulting for overseas expansion, and business succession solutions.

Park Hwa-geun, head of Woori Bank's Corporate Sales Strategy Division, stated, "By advancing the announcement of the eighth class to the second half of this year, we have selected a record 45 companies. We will continue to provide financial support to help mid-sized companies compete on the global economic front."
