| Eastar Jet has announced its first flight taking off on January 7th, 2009. | ||
Easterjet, a low-cost airline based in Seoul, is scheduled to take off its first aircraft bounding for/from Kimpo and Jeju on Wednesday in order to contribute to the easy and affordable access to the airtrips in Korea.
The airline said on Monday to the press at Lotte Hotel that the launching commemoration will be held on the 6th at the airport in Kimpo, Kunsan and Jeju and the the first flight will be taken off Kimpo airport in the morning on the 7th.
Lee Sang Jik, CEO of Eastrjet, said, "With the quality in operation and the most economical fares in Korea, we will deliver the most exciting moment of airtrips with the cheapest tickets to the citizens of S. Korea."
And he added, "I believe that offering the most friendly cost for the customers amid the economic crisis is the most realistic practice for the corporation to implement the social responsibility."
The carrier are planning to operate the air services boung for/from Kimpo and Jeju 8 times a day. The first jet is reportedly to be Boeing 737-NG bought in December.
In addition to the domestic service, Eastarjet also has a plan for international routes including Japan, China, Vietnam and the Phillipines after having the company settled down in Korea and getting the approval to be operated as an internatinal airliner.
