"Balloon-Leaflets Mom" Killed, Tomorrow Conservative Event Cancelled

A South Korean senior woman, 75, who has been participating in conservative activities, was killed at her home amid fuss of sending balloons carrying leaflets which hold anti-North Korea government propagandas and news on recent political uprising in the Middle East and northern Africa countries.

Reported as only her last name, Han, she was found dead on Thursday afternoon at her home in Mia-dong, Seoul.

According to police investigation and media reports, she had blunt wounds on her head, and bloods trace on the wall of her room where she was dead.

She is a mother of general secretary of a conservative organization which has been leading recent balloon and leaflets activities against North Korea.

After the shock of Han’s sudden death, the organizations which scheduled to send balloons again tomorrow at Imjinkak at border line area, had cancelled all the events after the funeral process being done.

Police said no money and valuables are stolen at the scene and they see the possibility of homicide by hatred or other reason.
