'Gangnam Style’ star Psy stars in Super Bowl ad

Major U.S. network CBS TV on Feb. 3 aired a Super Bowl commercial for Wonderful Pistachios starring South Korean rapper-singer Psy who set social-media popularity records with his “Gangnam Style” YouTube music and dancing video, U.S. media reported.

The commercial was Psy’s first ad aired in the United States, according to USA Today. The ad was broadcast live during half time of the 47th Super Bowl.

In the ad, Psy wears a pistachio-green suit and displays a special way to crack open pistachios. Wonderful Pistachios is a popular U.S. snack brand.
