Discovery Channel broadcasts documentary on Taiwanese technological innovations

U.S.-based Discovery Channel began broadcasting a TV documentary series featuring technological innovations and achievements made by Taiwanese industries, Monday (local time).

According to the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the first two parts, “Innovation Island” and “Eco Solution,” cover industry and agriculture, respectively, while the third part, still in the making, deals with medical innovation.

“Innovation Island” was first broadcast Dec. 23 at 9 p.m. and will be repeated 8 p.m., Dec. 28, while “Eco Solution” will be aired 9 p.m., Dec. 30 and repeated 8 p.m., Jan. 4, the ministry said.

The two programs will afterward be repeated around the world, and the third part is scheduled for broadcast in 2014, it said.
