Lydia Ko, a South Korean-born New Zealander, moved up one notch to second place in the women’s world golf rankings released on Tuesday (local time).

The 17-year-old Ko earned a score of 9.95, barely ahead of 9.92 scored by U.S. golfer Stacy Lewis, winner of the LPGA Tour money title whose season earnings amounted to $2.53 million.

Ko captured the LPGA's season-ending CME Group Tour Championship golf tournament in Naples, Florida, Nov. 23.

Park In-bee of South Korea retained her No. 1 position for nine consecutive weeks, with a score of 11.3.

Park and Ko were ranked second and third on LPGA Tour's official money list with $2.22 million and $2.08 million, respectively.
