Lim Hyung-joo one of world's 3 popera tenors: CNN

South Korea's Lim Hyung-joo has been selected as one of the "3 Popera Tenors in the World" by CNN iReport, the Universal Music Korea said Thursday.

The two others chosen by the U.S. cable news network's citizen journalism site are Russell Watson of Britain and Alessandro Safina of Italy. Popera is a coined term of pop and opera.

Lim "truly has the 'Voice of Heaven,'" Grace Keiko, a music critic and guest columnist for CNNi Report, said in her article on the site.

"His voice tone is clear like a crystal, and he presents lyrical and mysterious musical interpretation. Lim reminds us of Jose Carreras who was the youngest of the former 'Original 3 Tenors' and a byword of romantic tenor," she said.
